Hi there! I'm Lauren. I grew up in a small town in Eastern Pennsylvania, nestled right between the vibrant cities of Philadelphia and New York. After graduating high school, I tried Philadelphia but ended up at an art school in New York City. During my time in New York, I had the incredible fortune of working at a commercial photography studio, where I worked closely with photographers, stylists, builders, designers, and producers. My studies at school were primarily in art and design, and working in the studio rounded out my education in advertising, photography, and production. The city's vibrant energy fueled my passion, but an undeniable longing for the outdoors and the mountains tugged at my heart. I decided to venture westward to Seattle, accompanied by my now-husband, who was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We worked in the city and explored the mountains and Olympic Peninsula in our spare time. After traveling to New Mexico many times to visit family, we decided that it was where we wanted to be. So in the summer of 2015, we packed up and moved from rainy Seattle to sunny Santa Fe. For me, there's no other place in the world that compares to New Mexico. It truly feels like home.

When I'm not working, I love taking classes, hiking with my dogs, making art, sewing my own clothes, cooking, baking, and gardening. I truly enjoy learning new things. During the pandemic, I started taking classes online at my local community college and have since expanded to begin working on a second degree at the University of New Mexico. Maintaining a growth mindset is a lifelong goal for me. I believe that the more we learn, the bigger our world becomes. Stay curious, my friends.
